Pausing an application is as simple as holding down on the icon on the desktop and click on the Pause app button that will appear in the drop-down menu.. This will also stop receiving notifications from the application, but its main difference with muting notifications is that we will not be able to open it either.

In Gmail, this option can be configured from the configuration section, within each account that we have added. In the space of Automatic answer, we will be able to write a short message to say that we are on vacation. and that we will be back in a few days.

Thus, every time someone sends us an email they will receive a reply indicating that we are on vacation and that we will not be able to read it until a certain date. In this way, if that person needs something, he/she can go to a colleague or superior who is working. This can prevent them from insisting on sending us messages thinking that we are not on vacation.
